Loan company collector shot dead on Bilar highway

A loan company collector was shot dead by men on motorbikes riding in tandem in the town of Bilar on Monday morning.

Corporal Mark Christian Villagonzalo of the Bilar police station said victim Allen Rosales, 39, was riding his motorbike to work in Carmen when the assailant shot him repeatedly along a national road in Cansumbol, Bilar.

The perpetrators reportedly followed the victim before committing the fatal gun attack in broad daylight.

“An armed man, a kinsa mo a backrider, gipusil makadagang higayon ang biktima mao natumba siya,” Villagonzalo said.

Rosales was still rushed to a hospital in Carmen but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Based on the police’s initial investigation, nothing was removed from the victim’s possession.

“So far wala pay na record naay nakuha sa biktima,” he said.

Meanwhile, investigators found four spent shells fired from a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Villagonzalo said they are still continuing their investigation to identify the suspects and the motive for the attack.

“Manan-aw pa ta sa mga CCTV [footage] in nakig storya pud sa hintungdan sa namatay area,” he added. (A. Doydora)
