The sale includes a large mansion with a ballroom, three barn conversions, two pavilions, five one-story chalets, 19 one- and two-bedroom residences, one four-bedroom house, two commercial buildings and approximately 106 acres of land. land land, including two wind turbines that supply the estate with electricity.
Owner George Tucker’s father (also known as George Tucker) bought the property at auction from the bank in 1966 after its previous owner went bankrupt.
He bought it for just £ 21,250 – the modern equivalent of around £ 400,000 – and the family spent years restoring the property which was described as a mess at the time.
