Cheddar Valley Planning Inquiries Week ending June 30


Various planning requests have been submitted to the Sedgemoor District Council, and some decisions have also been taken this week.

The list of applications received can be found below.

Planning requests received by Sedgemoor District Council last week include:

  • Proposed creation of a fiberglass outdoor pool and erection of a retractable polycarbonate pool enclosure at the west elevation at 7 Hillside, Axbridge, Somerset.
  • Tree works in a conservation area at Orchard House, Front Street, Stone Allerton.
  • Land use change from agricultural to residential garden area in Maes-y-de, Venns Gate, Cheddar.
  • Retrospective request for land use change for the establishment of a 5m diameter white canvas yurt on a 5m diameter wooden deck and erection of a country shelter on land adjacent to Rackley Lane, Compton Bishop.

  • Extension of the frontage on one level (southwest) at 2 Station Road, Axbridge. Authorization granted.
  • First floor extension to rear elevation (southwest), detached garage, existing garage to be demolished, closure of existing access and creation of new access and driveway to Turnpike Cottage, Badgworth. Authorization granted.
