Araneta Town Opens Laguna and Batangas Roads in Time for Lenten Season



Buses bound for Laguna and Batangas are now allowed to operate at the Araneta City Bus Station starting April 2.

In accordance with Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Circular No. 2022-023, the City of Araneta and bus operators have obtained Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC), Provisional Authority (PA), and Permits specials valid to allow the resumption of the following bus operations at Araneta City Bus Station.

Please note the following routes, times and fares:

Alps and GoldStar Transport

5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

San Juan, Batangas – Php 310

City of Batangas – Php 230

City of Lipa, Batangas – Php 176

HM Transport

7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Calamba, Lagoon – Php 117

Pansol, Lagoon – Php 128

Los Banos Bayan – Php 139

Sta. Cruz, Laguna – Php 198

Mon Legazpi, Property Manager of Araneta City Bus Station, assured the public of their safety as new bus lines welcome more commuters this Lenten season.

As required by the LTFRB, all buses are equipped with a QR code for passenger contact tracing. Each bus is sanitized and disinfected during drop-off intervals, while bus drivers and staff are regularly tested for COVID-19. Passengers are required to wear face masks at all times.

“The public is also encouraged to strictly follow existing health precautions and social distancing measures. Passengers may be asked to show vaccination ID or any proof of vaccination. Legazpi added.

Besides these new bus routes, routes to and from Pampanga and Bulacan are operational at the Araneta City bus station. Discounts for seniors, students and people with disabilities are recognized and granted.
