Alabama is home to many beautiful places that are perfect destinations for anyone who loves nature. While some of these places are very well known, several others are not, making them real hidden gems. One of those hidden gems is Harvest Square Nature Preserve, and you can learn all about it below.

Harvest Square Nature Preserve is a scenic preserve nestled in the small town of Harvest, Alabama. It is also part of the Land Trust of North Alabama.
Even though this reserve is just over 69 acres, it’s still a great destination for nature lovers to spend the day.

Visitors to Harvest Square Nature Preserve can enjoy a variety of fun recreational activities, including fishing.
Located in the reserve are also more than two miles of trails for anyone who loves hiking. These trails are open from dawn to dusk. Dogs are allowed here, so be sure to bring your canine companion(s) along for the adventure. Keep in mind that they must be on a leash at all times.
Harvest Square Nature Preserve is also home to all kinds of wildflowers. You may also spot a variety of wildlife during your visit, including deer, foxes, raccoons, and more. Do not forget your camera !
And finally, if you plan to spend the day at the reserve, don’t forget to bring your lunch. The Dale W. Strong Community Lodge on the reserve (pictured) is a great place for a picnic.
